Dr Peter G Falloon - Managing Director
Peter graduated from Lincoln University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree with first class honours in Agronomy and Plant Physiology. After three years working with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research at Lincoln breeding cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, onions and asparagus, he then studied Plant Pathology at the University of California, Davis. Graduating in 1985 with a PhD he returned to New Zealand to continue asparagus breeding.
Having established Aspara Pacific Ltd in 1990, Peter has taken on a number of industry leadership roles as Chairman of the New Zealand Asparagus Council, an executive member of the Vegetable Research Committee and a board member of the Research and Innovation Board of Horticulture New Zealand.
With over 100 papers in scientific journals, Peter is a recognized authority on asparagus. He currently serves on the technical committee of the International Asparagus Symposium to be held in Peru in 2009.He is editor of the New Zealand Asparagus Manual and has been a consulting editor of the Journal of Vegetable Science for the last 12 years.
Peter is a registered horticultural consultant and has advised asparagus growers in several countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America.

Linda graduated from Canterbury University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Lincoln University in 1980 with a Diploma in Agricultural Science. She has considerable experience in micro-propagation of plants under sterile conditions and has spent several years in molecular biology at Crop and Food Research, one of New Zealand's leading Crown Research Institutes. Linda manages Aspara Pacific's plant tissue culture laboratory.
